The QuickLock is a dream come true and Monster always does a good job. I use these all the time because I use Monster Cable (the kind that is suppose to run through your walls) to get the most out of my Cerwin Vega speakers.
I'd buy more, except they are way too expensive. First I have to say, when starting this review Amazon popped up a little window that said "optional: rate this item's attributes - Sound quality (1-5 stars)." Please. But even that is too expensive for me - I ordered some all metal ones from Monoprice for $0.97 a pair that look great, function just as well and I just applied heat-shrink tubing to them to get the same protection. GLS Audio makes the same exact product for 1/2 the price. As if this is going to improve my sound quality. This purchase will not improve your sound quality, it simply makes plugging your speakers in easier. On to the product (now that we know what it is for).:They work great and look good.
Well worth what they cost. I've set up quite a few home theaters, and these are definitely the easiest to use, and most compatible by far. As much as I dislike Monster Cable and how they rip their customers off. These are the best banana connectors I've found.
The only con is its price, a little on the expensive side, even being Monster. This banana connectors are easy to use and apear solid, with good quality.
They fit a range of amplifier ouputs and speaker inputs.Be sure to trim the ends of the cable before you install the plug. These connectors are easy to install on a range of cable gauges from lamp cord (if you must use it) up to hefty speaker cables. They are excellent for installations like home theater or two channel.
